Rollin (Rooster) D. Shea, 82, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Hamburg, IL on July 25, 1941, to the late George and Rosa (Laird) Shea.
Rollin graduated from Calhoun High School then went on to further his education at Lewis and Clark community college. He worked 28 years for McDonnell Douglas as a Sr. Graphic Artist. After retirement, he then went on to perform a country music show (1993-2013) called "Sounds of Nashville" for 20 years. He also recorded a country music cd in 2001 in the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.
Rollin is survived by two sons, David (Thersea) Shea of South Roxana and Brian Shea of Woodriver; a sister, Fern Scheidegger of Pinellas Park, Florida; one granddaughter, Barbara (Lawrence) Esterlen of Glen Carbon; three great grandchildren, Taven, Tucker, and Theo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rollin was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Richard Shea;
