Bertha M. McGowen, 82, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Bunker, Mo, on March 24, 1941, to the late Oather and Alice (Schafer) Tinker.
Betha was a graduate of Hardin High School in the class of 1959. She went on to work as an assembler for Eureka Williams Vacuum Company until she retired. She loved traveling, reading, gardening, and cooking,
Bertha is survived by three sons, Daniel (Hyon Chu) McGowen, David McGowen, and Duane McGowen; five grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, James (Megan), Emma, and Lillian McGowen; two great grandchildren, Bryce and Lillee McGowen; two sisters, Bonnie Tinker and Barb (Frank) Webster; three nephews, John, Monty, and Matt (Julie) Webster; and two great nephews, Tim Varble and Tyler Webster.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah (Jim) Lorsbach; and a nephew, Marty Varble.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Indian C
