Severine J. Baalman, 96, passed away on March 24, 2024, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on January 2, 1928, in Meppen, IL to the late Joseph and Helena (Droge) Baalman.
Severine married Mary Jane Kronable on July 24, 1954, she preceded him in death.
Severine was a member of Calhoun County fair board and enjoyed fishing. He was a lifetime farmer and owned the Hardin Drive In for 25 years. He served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by two sons, Randall John (Fayetta) Baalman and Gregory Joseph (Kim) Baalman; one daughter in law, Luann Baalman; one sister, France Hurley; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, James William Baalman; a granddaughter, Stephanie Jane Baalman; five siblings, Rosella Baalman, Gilbert Baalman, Victor Baalman, Joseph Baalman, and Phyllis Baalman
